What can I say about this wedding day, except it was a dream come true for me! Tila and Jake are absolute gems–but before I get ahead of myself, let me start at the beginning.
Tila reached out to me a few months before her big day to let me know she was on the hunt for a photographer who incorporated film & creative processes into their workflow, so I was delighted to be selected as her photographer for her wedding day! Tila and Jake were 100% down for artistic, experimental photos as well as the standard, traditional ones. Photos meant a LOT to them and they were totally down to do as many photos as possible. Needless to say, they were a match made in heaven for me! They completely put their trust in me to capture their special day & they also fulfilled a bucket list item for me as well 😉
I’ve always wanted to photograph a Bengali/Indian fusion wedding. I’ve always been obsessed with the luscious, opulence and vibrant colors of Indian weddings, so the fact that Tila wanted to incorporate her Bengali heritage into her wedding day, along with Jake’s English background was a dream come true!
Add in Matt from Hue Florals & Black Dog Bakery for the cake and you’ve got gorgeous florals & cake to die for!
I’m still on cloud 9 from photographing their special day.
They were also featured on the Knot as well! For the full story behind their day, click here.
