Hey friends! The long awaited post I’ve been promising for months is now here! 😂 I’ve compiled a list of some of the best wedding venues in and around Calgary (that also happen to be my favorites). This by no means is an exhaustive list, and there are many new venues that are becoming more popular & prominent. Definitely check back to this blog post in the future because I’ll definitely be adding more venues as the months go by! But for now, scroll on to read about some of the best wedding venues in Calgary, Alberta.
Outside of Calgary
The Norland Historic Estate in Lethbridge
So, I’m a Southern Georgia girl and a sucker for Antebellum architecture–which is why The Norland is a slice of home in the middle of Canada. With it’s sprawling grounds, gorgeous gazebo, and Colonial design, it’s an amazing choice for a wedding.
Average guest count: up to 300
Average budget: $3500 to $7500, less expensive on weekdays and mid-low season (October-June)
Ideal for couples who love a classic, luxurious or vintage vibe to their wedding

Coutts Centre for Western Heritage in Nanton
One of my favorite weddings of all time took place at the Coutts Centre for Canadian Western Heritage! Not only does this gorgeous historic homestead feature over 18 perennial gardens, but it also has a beautiful pavilion with three chandeliers and the BEST lush, green natural archway—perfect for stunning golden-hour photos. Fun side note: if you’re a bride or groom getting married here, you’ll receive a free hour of wedding photography coverage. This is my special gift to any couple who books their wedding at this unique Nanton venue. If you’d like to see a wedding gallery showcasing this amazing location, click here.
Average guest count: up to 120
Average budget: $500 for ceremony only, $6000 for 60 guests, $8000 for 120 guests includes full use of the entire property, setup, take down, tables, chairs etc.

Ahhh Lougheed House–I am obsessed. 😍 There’s something so magical about a historic home as the backdrop for your wedding day. With its palatial staircases, sumptuous rooms & teeming gardens, there’s not a single bad angle or photograph taken here! If you’d like to see what your wedding day could look like, check out Praveen & Mitch’s wedding at Lougheed House here.

With the perfect blend of romance and rustic charm, the River Cafe is a beautiful location that features both the organic wildness of nature in Princes Island Park as well as the Calgary City Skyline. So you end up getting the best of both worlds if you’re wanting a downtown urban vibe as well as a foresty vibe. The Bow River offers a picturesque backdrop for wedding photos that make you feel like you’re not even in the city!

Average budget: $2500-$5000 for property rental + food per guest (not included)
Ideal for couples who love an urban, rustic charm or intimate wedding

If there’s one thing that gets my lil photographer heart racing it’s golden hour and a line of lush trees along a driveway! (Wow… you weird, Meg!) haha but it’s true! Pinebrook Golf Course offers some stunning views of the river valley below, and the driveway leading up to the venue has a line of trees that makes for some jaw dropping photos. If you’d like to see what your wedding day could look like, check out Ashley & Quang’s wedding at Pinebrook Golf Course here.

My Favorite Wedding Venue of 2025
If you love gardens, greenhouses, and outdoor weddings, Saskatoon Farm is the perfect choice. It provides everything you need for a fairy-tale, secret garden wedding that feels both beautiful and relaxed. The staff are thorough and efficient, ensuring every detail is seamless for you and your guests. You’ll find endless floral backdrops and a dreamy outdoor ceremony space, offering just enough shade from the sun. Kim and Michael’s wedding was a true dream.
