Hey friends! The long awaited post I’ve been promising for months is now here! π
I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite wedding venues in and around Calgary. This by no means is an exhaustive list, and there are many new venues that are becoming more popular & prominent. Definitely check back to this blog post in the future because I for sure will be adding more venues as the months go by! But for now, scroll on to read about some of the best wedding venues in Calgary, Alberta.
Outside of Calgary
The Norland Historic Estate in Lethbridge
So, I’m a Southern Georgia girl and I’m a sucker for Antebellum architecture–which is why The Norland is a slice of home in the middle of Canada and why it’s probably my top favorite wedding venue in Alberta. With it’s sprawling grounds, gorgeous gazebo, and Colonial design, it’s an amazing choice for a wedding.
Average guest count: up to 300
Average budget: $3500, less expensive on weekdays and mid-low season (October-June)
Ideal for couples who love a classic, luxurious or vintage vibe to their wedding

Coutts Centre for Western Heritage in Nanton
One of my favorite weddings of all time took place at the Coutts Centre for Canadian Western Heritage! This gorgeous historic homestead has over 18 perennial gardens, a beautiful pavilion with 3 chandeliers and the BEST lush, green, natural archway for some stunning golden hour photos. And, fun side note, if you’re a bride or groom getting married here, you’ll receive a free hour of wedding photography coverage! It’s my special gift to any couple who books their wedding at this special place in Nanton. If you’d like to see a wedding gallery featuring this amazing venue, click here.

With the perfect blend of romance and rustic charm, the River Cafe is a beautiful location that features both the organic wildness of nature in Princes Island Park as well as the Calgary City Skyline. So you end up getting the best of both worlds if you’re wanting a downtown urban vibe as well as a foresty vibe. The Bow River offers a picturesque backdrop for wedding photos that make you feel like you’re not even in the city!

If there’s one thing that gets my lil photographer heart racing it’s golden hour and a line of lush trees along a driveway! (Wow… you weird, Meg!) haha but it’s true! Pinebrook Golf Course offers some stunning views of the river valley below, and the driveway leading up to the venue has a line of trees that makes for some jaw dropping photos. If you’d like to see what your wedding day could look like, check out Ashley & Quang’s wedding at Pinebrook Golf Course here.

If you have a great love for gardens, greenhouses & outdoor weddings, then Saskatoon Farm is the place for you! It has everything you need to create a fairy-tale, secret garden themed wedding that is not only beautiful, but laid-back. The staff there are incredibly thorough & efficient in set up and do a fantastic job making everything seamless for you & your guests. There is an endless supply of gorgeous floral backdrops, not to mention the dreamy outdoor ceremony space that provides just enough shade from the harsh sun for anyone wanting an outdoor wedding, but worried about the hot summer months.
