My Top Venues in Alberta

The long awaited post I’ve been promising for months is now here! 😂 Here are my top favorite wedding venues in Alberta (in no particular order)

The Norland Historic Estate in Lethbridge

So, I’m a Southern Georgia girl and I’m a sucker for Antebellum architecture–which is why The Norland is a slice of home in the middle of Canada and why it’s probably my top favorite venue in Alberta. With it’s sprawling grounds, gorgeous gazebo, and Colonial design, it’s an amazing choice for a wedding.

Coutts Centre for Western Heritage in Nanton

One of my favorite weddings of all time took place at the Coutts Centre for Canadian Western Heritage! This gorgeous historic homestead has over 18 perennial gardens, a beautiful pavilion with 3 chandeliers and the BEST lush, green, natural archway for some stunning golden hour photos. And, fun side note, if you’re a bride or groom getting married here, you’ll receive a free hour of wedding photography coverage! It’s my special gift to any couple who books their wedding at this special place in Nanton.

Lougheed House

Ahhh Lougheed House–I am obsessed 😍 there’s something so magical about a historic home as the backdrop for your wedding day. With its palatial staircases, sumptuous rooms & teeming gardens, there’s not a single bad angle or photograph taken here!

River Cafe

With the perfect blend of romance and rustic charm, the River Cafe is a beautiful location that features both the organic wildness of nature in Princes Island Park as well as the Calgary City Skyline. The Bow River offers a picturesque backdrop for wedding photos!

Pinebrook Golf Course

If there’s one thing that gets my lil photographer heart racing it’s golden hour and a line of lush trees along a driveway! (Wow… you weird, Meg!) haha but it’s true! Pinebrook Golf Course offers some stunning views of the river valley below, and the driveway leading up to the venue has a line of trees that makes for some jaw dropping photos.
