Best Florists in Calgary

My follow up post to the best wedding venues in Calgary is *drum roll please*, the best wedding florists in Calgary! This is actually a tough post to write because there are SO MANY talented florists in the city. I seriously could probably name 20-30 florists off the top of my head that I love, but that would mean this post would go on forever 😉

So for my list, I’ll be including the florists who I’ve worked with personally, though this certainly isn’t an exhaustive list at all!

Hue Florals

My favorite florist who I could gush for hours about is Matt from Hue Florals. I did a call out ages ago looking for a budding florist who wanted to collaborate on a Parisian styled shoot here in the city and I am eternally grateful that Matt reached out! He did a STUNNING floral instal in an old piano that was jaw-dropping, and definitely felt like something out of the Secret Garden! In addition to his beautiful bouquet, ground florals for the ceremony and cake table, and reception centrepieces, Matt outdid himself and continues to outdo himself on every wedding and creative project he’s on! Here are a few examples of his work:

Hawthorn Plains

Another favorite of mine is Alyssa from Hawthorn Plains. I had the immense pleasure of photographing a wedding at Coutts Centre for Western Heritage (my favorite wedding of 2023!) where she was the florist and oh my word, she did an amazing job! From the floral arch for the ceremony, to the bouquets, it was truly an elegant yet simple wedding and her florals really enhanced the natural beauty of Coutts Centre. Calyx Floral Design

Another amazing florist is Travis from Calyx Floral Design. She was the florist at Paige & Kurtis’s outdoor Tuscan inspired wedding and holy cow, she did an outstanding job! In addition, she also included extra loose florals for me to play around with and MADE Paige’s detail shots amazing. As a side note, when picking your wedding florist, definitely ask if they include extra/loose florals for those amazing detail shots at the start of your day!

Sonic Bloom Floral Studio

And to wrap up this blog post, one of my favorite florists from this 2025 wedding season was Sonic Bloom Florals! They not only went above and beyond in their floral design at the Norland, but they also made sure I had plenty of flowers to play around with to elevate my sweet brides details AND they were finished setting up the reception space SUPER early which gave me ample time to capture the entire room before the day go too busy! They were fast, efficient and on time and my bride was so grateful to them!
