I felt honored to photograph Sola and Peter’s wedding at the beautiful Inn on Officer’s Garden in downtown Calgary. Abbi from Avea Wedding Co planned the day with incredible care and creativity. Callia Flowers designed gorgeous and budget-friendly florals that fit Sola’s garden theme perfectly. Every vendor worked together to bring her vision to life. The Inn on Officer’s Garden provided the perfect setting for this vibrant celebration.
One of my favourite moments came during the ceremony. Everyone radiated joy as they watched Sola and Peter tie the knot. Peter greeted each guest with a warm, heartfelt hug as they walked down the aisle. I rarely see a groom welcome loved ones in such a personal way. Sola entered with her parents, already full of emotion. She saw Peter waiting and immediately began to cry tears of joy. Her smile glowed as she looked at him with pure love. The moment felt incredibly special and stayed with me long after the day ended.
Another favorite moment of mine is usually the groomsmen shots! There’s something about getting a bunch of best buddies together where cheesy dad jokes & hilarity ensues! A moment that came spontaneously was when the groomsmen saw a wooden swing and wanted to take pictures of Peter getting pushed by them all. It resulted in some hilarious facial expressions from Peter and so much laughter from the groomsmen!
Sola & Peter’s Love Story
Both Sola and Peter met in nursing school in the same class–Sola immediately thought Peter was the cutest (and smartest!) guy in the class and wanted to get to know him better. It wasn’t until nearly a year later that both were set up by a mutual friend, who was their officiant, and the rest was history!

All in all it was an amazing day full of love, laughter, happy tears & tender moments–my ideal wedding day! Congratulations Sola & Peter! Thank you so much for allowing me to be apart of your special day!
