For those couples wanting a beautiful wedding in a central location, but still wanting an intimate experience, River Cafe is the place for you! The River Cafe near downtown Calgary is the perfect set up if you’re wanting a combination of both urban and natural forests for your wedding day backdrop. Jovelyn & Noel knew that they wanted something special, intimate, but still elegant for their big day.

Their ceremony took place on the patio of the cafe with the beautiful cityscape of Calgary in the background. After walking back down the aisle to white rose petals, we snuck around the corner to Prince’s Island Park to take some private couple’s portraits. The light was absolutely perfect as we took photos around the cafe’s garden as well as the Elbow River nearby.

If you’d like a wonderful blend of intimacy and elegance for your big day, River Cafe is a perfect option for you.

As a side note, if you’re trying to save a little money, I would recommend doing a luncheon for your reception versus a dinner. You’ll save about $45 a person that way 🙂
