A few weeks ago, Kevin reached out to me through my website to let me know he wanted to plan a surprise proposal in Canmore for his girlfriend while they were on a skiing trip.

I was thrilled and said of course! Little did we know it would be one of the coldest days of 2026 😂 (-14 degrees to be exact with a wind chill!)

Originally, we planned to have Kevin take Chloe to a park where they could stretch their legs and relax after their long drive from Moose Jaw, but when it was clear that the weather would be “frickin freezing Mr Bigglesworth,” we decided to pivot a bit!

So instead, using my handy dandy google earth & street view, I was able to find a stretch of sidewalk near downtown Canmore that had a beautiful mountain view, and little to no foot traffic (or car traffic!) where Kevin and Chloe to park and then “walk” into downtown Canmore for a warm drink. I sent the location to Kevin and we planned on meeting in Canmore for the surprise proposal around 3pm.

Everything went beautifully! Armed with some hand warmers & a hot chocolate, nothing was gonna stop us from having a magical time! It was one of the sweetest proposals I’ve ever captured, and I love how Chloe hugged Kevin and snuck a peek of the ring on her finger 😉
