let's talk moodboards! Why you see them everywhere on Pinterest, and why you need one customized for you and your wedding day vision.
First off, what is a moodboard?
A moodboard is a visual representation for what you want your wedding day to be like. For me, the best part about having a moodboard is knowing that not only do I have an idea as to what the wedding day will look like, (bohemian, shabby chic, elegant, organic, whimsical etc) it also helps my brides know what direction they want to go for wedding day design & planning!
This was one of my favorite wedding set ups to date! I’m a huge sucker for purples, golds & greens and this shoot had it all in abundance! I absolutely adored the soft tones of purples with the sprinkling of gold that was set off beautifully by mossy greens. It was a beautiful combination of […]
One of my favorite anniversary sessions to date–and it helps that it was in Paris 😉 While the hubby and I were in Paris, we decided to do a few photo session swaps with other couples that were staying at the same time–so it was lovely to be able to take Becca and Jonathan’s anniversary […]
The most gorgeous couple in the most gorgeous light ✨ I’ve always been a huge fan of engagement sessions during golden hour and even more so at a place where there’s trees & water! Pearce Estate Park has some beautiful spots where when the light hits in, it’s just *chef’s kiss* Congratulations Deepika & Dil!
One of my favorite highlights of this year was the opportunity I had to photograph in Paris at the stunning Chateau de Champlatreux! Over the next few weeks I’ll be blogging each photoshoot from this gorgeous chateau, but here is one of my favorites–from the color palette, to the dinner set up, to the couple. […]
I had the lovely opportunity to photograph Molly and David’s wedding last August at Ghost River with the amazing Day of Diva! Molly and David are such a down to earth couple and devoted to each other. It was humbling to see the love their families had for both Molly and David. Truly a day […]
I had the tremendous opportunity to photograph a lovely styled shoot at Venue 308 in downtown Calgary. Heather from Orange Trunk & Heather Johnson Design created a beautiful spring time palette complete with unique terracota and sage green accents. Heather described her inspiration as “Copper + Pearl is a springtime nod to a typically fall […]
This editorial shot at the Pioneer on 8th in Calgary, Alberta, Canada is luxurious, sumptuous and ethereal, complete with a lush floral installation blossoming out of a grand piano. Our vision was to gather some of the most talented wedding vendors from the Calgary area to create a stunning scene of Parisian opulence infused with […]
What can I say about this wedding day, except it was a dream come true for me! I have always wanted to photograph and Indian-English fusion wedding, and I’m so grateful I was able to finally do it! Tila and Jake are absolute gems–but before I get ahead of myself, let me start at the […]
I had the incredible opportunity to go back to the Norland Historic Estate to photograph this beautiful workshop in lavender & sweet pea pinks. The Norland Historic Estate is one of my favorite buildings in Alberta, and I wish we had more gorgeous, historic architecture in this province. My home state of Georgia has some […]
(And why you should plan your mountain wedding in Waterton) When Rebekah of Bronte Bride said she was going to be doing a sunrise styled shoot just outside of Waterton, I knew I had to be apart of it! Even though it was SUPERRRR early in the morning, as well as being windy and cold […]
